We are a community united by art. Greater Hartford is home to hundreds of arts, cultural and heritage organizations that help make us a strong community – turning strangers into neighbors, celebrating our diversity, revitalizing neighborhoods and uniting us all.

The Greater Hartford Arts Council is the central voice for the cultural sector in our region. We secure community resources and responsibly reinvest those dollars into a wide array of organizations and programs that keep our community strong. We promote the arts as a regional asset and connect citizens to the arts – publishing an events calendar, distributing a weekly enewsletter, and managing the Let’s Go Arts! discount program to help ensure the arts are accessible to all.

United Arts Campaign

Each year, the Greater Hartford Arts Council runs a community-wide fundraising effort called the United Arts Campaign. The campaign joins together corporate contributions, government and private foundation support and the donations of individual arts enthusiasts living and working in Greater Hartford to provide grants and services to more than 150 cultural organizations.

Where does the money go?

An investment in the United Arts Campaign stays local, supporting organizations and artists in the towns where your employees live and work. Our grant programs are designed to fund essential needs, support collaboration, and encourage creative and innovative programs that enhance our quality of life. The rest of the money goes to the Arts Council’s range of services—from community programs to technical assistance, umbrella marketing services for the arts in our region to advocacy—and, of course, to reaching new supporters for the arts.
