Grantee Spotlight: Winding Trails

Every month the Arts Council spotlights a grantee to showcase the amazing impact your United Arts Campaign contributions have on the community and beyond. This month’s spotlight is on Winding Trails. Read our previous grantee spotlights

Winding Trails, a non-profit organization with a rich history has been a staple in the community for over 65 years. The organization sits on 380 acres of woods, waterways, and spectacular facilities in Farmington, Connecticut. From ziplining, to cross country skiing, conservation and education programs to special events, its no wonder there is a one to two year wait list to become a member of this New England oasis.

A non-member’s ticket into this gorgeous piece of land is through “Acoustic Nights at Winding Trails.” Supported in part through the Greater Hartford Arts Council’s Artscape Grant, this series highlighted some of the great local musical talent in the area by showcasing three performers each evening over the spring and summer. The final performance of the series will be on Friday, September 11th at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 for Adults and $3 for Children (Ages 3-15) for non-members and free for Winding Trails Members.
