Hartford isn’t exactly known for having a booming fashion scene but this weekend the Wadsworth Atheneum is bringing the catwalk to our backyards starting with First Thursday: Fashion Frenzy, proving once again that #HartfordHasIt. The fashion show on First Thursday will showcase clothing from the Wadsworth’s upcoming POSH Sale going on this Friday through Sunday, featuring gently used designer clothing for women, children, and men to support the Costume & Textile Society. I got a sneak preview of the pieces and let’s just say the clothes are enough to bring your consignment shop obsessed friends in Boston and NYC to Hartford for the weekend (no joke).
Also on the agenda for the weekend is one of the best musicals (if not, the best) of all time – WICKED – playing at the Bushnell. If you’ve seen WICKED before, you’ll want to see it again for a new experience with a different cast, and – more importantly – to catch all the nuances you might have missed the first time.
Peruse the rest of the list below for more performances from Hartford Stage, SeaTea Improv and more. Have a wicked awesome weekend!
When you see [UA] in the heading, it means the organization is supported by the contributions made to the Arts Council’s Annual United Arts Campaign.

Thanks, but once again I ask where is “South Pacific” at Little theatre of Manchester. If you are willing to mention Simsbury in an article about Hartford then why not your neighbor in Manchester?
