After last night’s screen printing mixer at City Steam Brewery, we’re ready to continue indulging in the arts for the rest of the week. And for a good reason – there’s a lot going on! Starting with First Thursday at The Wadsworth, to First Fridays at New Britain Museum of American Art, and several opening receptions going on this weekend. Chris Trapper in Concert

Check out a performance by singer-songwriter, Chris Trapper, best known for his “lyrically driven roots pop,” a favorite among fans of all-acoustic music.

First Thursday: Sing the Blues [UA]

Where: Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford

End summer on a high note! Enjoy live music by XY Eli Blues Band, a pop up shop by Hartford Denim Company, a landscape painting demo, and more! Stay for an 8PM screening of Le Week-End.

First Fridays: New Britain Museum of American Art [UA]

Family Program: Back to School at the Connecticut Historical Society

Opening Reception: Psychedelic Pantry [UA]

Check out the work of multidisciplinary artist, John O’Donnell in this latest exhibition, Psychedelic Pantry, a new media installation depicting moments of constructed metaphysical awareness that reveals hallucinatory or surreal sensation.
